Success is Achieved One Skill at a Time

All students who apply for admission at Cedars will be equally considered according to their individual requirements. Cedars does not have a Special Needs unit, but all our staff have a wealth of experience teaching and mentoring students of varying abilities. We have a qualified SEN Coordinator and a number of our teachers are qualified SEN specialists. Our philosophy is to integrate all our students into a mainstream educational environment.

If your child has specific needs then please contact us by telephone or email to discuss their particular circumstances. All such enquiries will be met on an individual basis and in strictest confidence.

My child has a behavioral, learning or medical condition. Can you help?

Currently we do not operate a school bus. However, should there be sufficient demand then we are prepared to consider this service.

Do you provide school transport?

Currently, no. However, Cedars is considering introducing a school uniform which will consist of a basic polo shirt and trousers or skirt. At the time of writing (June 2007) we are looking for a supplier who will provide uniforms at a competitive price.

Is there a uniform?

Due to size constraints of our current premises, Cedars is currently unable to offer PE as part of the curriculum. We are in the process of sourcing larger premises in order to introduce sports into our full time education programme.

As a short-term solution we are in negotiation with several local clubs with a view to using their facilities.

Does Cedars have sports facilities?

Your child will require a snack and a small bag (e.g. knapsack) to carry their books. All stationary, exercise books and text books will be provided by Cedars.

What does my child need to bring to school?

Success is Achieved One Skill at a Time

Yes. Depending on placement availability we can accept students at any time during the academic year. For fee information in this respect see the Fee Regulations page.

If you would like to reserve a full time place for your child at Cedars for a future date then please complete an Admissions Enquiry Form, specifying the approximate time of arrival. We will provisionally reserve a place for your child upon receipt of a deposit. See the Fee Regulations page for more information.

We will check placement availability and contact you as soon as possible. If we can offer your child a place we will ask you to bring him/her to Cedars for an English and Maths assessment. Following the assessment we will usually complete the admissions process within one week.
